IR-Proof lenses completely eliminate the heating component of sunlight; the infrared spectrum, or IR, is known to cause heating and long-term damage to the eyes, especially after prolonged exposure to sunlight. Filtering out infrared rays helps keep the eyes rested and fresh, even after extended trekking.
